What's included
Support that preserves independence
Personal care is about more than tasks. Our aides learn your loved one's routines and preferences — the favorite sweater, the morning coffee before a shower — and help only as much as needed, so they keep doing what they can for themselves.
RN-supervised, always
A Registered Nurse creates the care plan and makes regular supervisory visits to make sure everything is going well.
- Bathing and showering with safety equipment and privacy.
- Dressing and grooming — hair, shaving, oral care and skin care.
- Toileting and incontinence care handled with discretion.
- Mobility and transfers from bed, chair and car to reduce fall risk.
- Medication reminders to keep daily routines on track.
- Meals and hydration, including help with eating when needed.
- Light exercises recommended by therapists to maintain strength.
Who it's for
Personal care may be right if your loved one…
Has trouble with balance or mobility
An aide's steady hand during showers, transfers and walks dramatically lowers the risk of falls.
Needs help getting started each day
Morning and evening routines go smoothly with someone there to help with bathing, dressing and meals.
Relies on a family member for care
Sharing hands-on care protects family relationships and gives caregivers the break they need.
Questions
Personal care FAQs
How many hours of personal care can we schedule?
Visits start at four hours and can be scheduled one day a week up to 24/7, including overnight and live-in care. You can increase or decrease hours with 48 hours' notice.
Is personal care covered by insurance?
Personal care is commonly covered by long-term care insurance, Florida Medicaid's long-term care program and VA benefits. Medicare generally doesn't cover it on its own. Our coordinators will check your options for free.
What training do your aides have?
Our aides are certified HHAs or CNAs who complete our own onboarding, safe-transfer training and annual continuing education, plus memory care training for dementia cases.
